Organic Farming in Spain anyone?

Spain is one of the top European countries for organic farming and has grown steadily in recent years due to its favourable climate and diverse landscapes.

According to Eurostat, in 2020 Spain had the largest area of organic farmland in the European Union, with over 2.3 million hectares dedicated to organic production.

This represents approximately 10% of Spain’s total agricultural land, making it one of the largest producers of organic food in the world.

Spain produces a wide variety of organic crops, including cereals, vegetables, fruits, nuts, olives, and wine grapes.

Organic livestock production is also becoming increasingly popular, with farmers raising organic beef, pork, chicken, and dairy cows.
